On install (v11) get a message that makes no sense.

Even so I agree the message does not make sense, you certainly have an incompatibility between the Resolve version and the OS version.

I would recommend you install version 15 or 16 in Mac OS High Sierra, unless you have a specific reason for not doing so.

Your other solution is to reverse to an older Mac OS version.

My old computers video will not handle above 11, according to some sources.
