    Hi,

I’m working on FCP 6.0.6 and using a sony dsr-20 DVcam deck. I recently had an incident where I used ‘capture now’ to ingest a tape. I was 30 mins in and I got the dreaded, ‘drop frames’ warning and it aborted capture. In the past (when not using this deck) the video prior to the dropped frames was saved and I would just have to pick up where it had left off. This time however, I realized that it looks as though the .mov had been trashed, so I had to recapture everything.

Anyone know why this happens? Is it deck specific, or is there a setting I can tweak to resolve this?

    thank in advance,
    John
