Shot some video on a Canon 5D Mark II at a gym in Thailand. The gym instructor did an introduction to the exercise that was recorded on the camera. In post-production, a voice over was added to the latter part of the video.
When the video is played on a PC or Mac the video is fine and the audio is fine. When its played on an iPad it’s fine. However, when it’s played on an iPhone or an Android phone, the video is fine, the audio voice over added in postprod is fine, but the audio recorded on camera is scrambled.
How can that be?
Given that the video plays fine on the browser am I safe in assuming that there is nothing wrong with the video file itself? That the problem lies in the way the video is played on a smartphone? Or is this a bad assumption?
It doesn’t really make sense to me that one part of the audio is fine but another is scrambled.
Any help appreciated!
