    OMFs not retaining levels?!

    Hi,

    My audio guy is working with OMF’s that I output from FCP7.

    I was sure to check the Fades and Levels boxes, but he tells me there are no fades and levels present in the OMF’s.

    He’s working in Logic.

    Any ideas?

    I export OMFs from FCP 7 all the time and fades and levels import correctly into Fairlight.

    The problem may be in Logic. In Fairlight I can setup options to ignore levels on import. Perhaps Logic is setup that way or it has defaults that need tweaking.

    Most apps which read audio OMFs have the option to retain the automation, fades, etc.

    Have him start a new project to test and check his import window.
