Please Help! I’m running Avid express 5 on 2.4 core 2 duo, 4gb ram, x2 465gb hard drives and I was on my final export and now I cannot access my project intact any more.

    1st I started getting ‘omfiHPDomain_ERROR_CLOSING_DOMAIN’
so I deleted the mob and pmr files and still nothing changed. Avid couldn’t complete the indexing of the media files.

So next I tried a little divide and conquer. After seperating the media files then reintergrating them into my omfi folder I was able to open avid with successful indexing of the media files but the media remained offline – note when doing the divide and conquer i found no + named corrupted files and deleted nothing.

A new error croped up telling me that access was denied on the E drive – one of my two omfi storage drives – and so I realised that I had permissions issues. So I turned off simple file sharing as I’m on xp proffessional but the media remained off line. I have to admit that this is the 1st time I have ever had problems like this. And I’ve never had to re-link media before so I may not have done it correctly – I just found it in the bins tab and gave it a go.

Please somebody help me! This project has taken me ages and I was just at the finish line…
