OMF video question
Can anyone tell me how the Avid handles video when it makes an OMF? Namely, when consolidating and embedding, does it convert video into quicktime, or some proprietary OMF media? Sorry for the dumb question, I got asked by our IT guy, and I have no idea.

An OMF file is just that – a proprietary file. It is QT based, but doesn’t turn it into a QT until you tell it to.
Just tell your IT guy it’s FM.
