I exported an OMF file from a 29.97 timeline of a sequence that is 1:11:53;12 in duration (1+ hour feature).

My sound mixer imports the file, using Logic Pro, and then exports an .aiff file. He uploads to an FTP site. I download it and cannot get it to sync up, even by manually syncing in random parts of the clip.

Checking “item properties” it’s duration is 1:11:22;14. He did not cut any length.

    1. What when wrong?
    2. What’s the easiest fix, given that we are working remotely?

    Thanks!

Check if he worked in 29.97. Maybe it’s a non-drop vs drop-frame timecode mismatch. Did you give him a QT of the program along with the OMF. That’s always a good idea as it will make a sync issue obvious.

Yes, it was a time code issue and a mixup with the video files
