omf files from fcp7 create error message in sountrack pro
hi all
i’ve looked thru the thread and there’s lot of talk about 44.1khz sound scuppering an OMF from FCP
but now the sequence only has 48khz sound
it’s multi-track and it seems to export fine but when we try to import into STP, we get this error:
An Unexpected Problem
CNSExceptionWrapper
type = 16777216, error = 1886547263, meesage = error: failed to open or create audio file for writing
please let us know any thoughts – it’s getting late here!

I thought you just ‘send to’ STP not via an OMF. I have only played with STP so I don’t know if it can import OMFs from FCP but you shouldn’t do it that way.

thanks for this – and yes, you are right of course.
at first we were on different machines which is why we were doing that. but then we got a general error trying to work with fcp and stp together…
