In Avid Xpress Pro, have 10 audio tracks on an 85 minute feature. Two of those audio tracks won’t export to OMF properly. Trying to consolidate and embed, all the other tracks work fine, but these 2 tracks won’t consolidate before trying to embed, even tho the settings say consolidate, those tracks it just tries to copy all of the source audio, which of course puts it to the 2gig file size limit and crashes Avid.

Anybody have any ideas on that? Corrupt footage somewhere, how do I find out? The workaround was to consolidate the tracks thru consolidate/transcode, then make an omf of the consolidated sequence, but I’d love to figure out how to make it work without having to do that, so I could just omf the whole thing (or at least in 2 chunks rather than 5-6).

Thanks for any help or ideas.

if i got u right u didnt transcode them. so first transcode it then make the consolidate action.
u can try enlarge the tracks and add the resolution display the move one by one to see wether its different res. and if u got one clip in a different res then u should try to transecode it to your project rate.
