    Hi.

First time exporting an omf to pro tools

I have pro cs6 exporting to protools 10

My sound engineer wants as much access to the audio, i.e. the audio that is on the shot and all the audio associated with it.

    Should I use encapsulated?

Also I have a 2 and a half hour cut.

Will I need to break it down into exportable sized reels to conform to the 2gb size limit on the OMF?

Also I did a test exporting 10mins of 4 channels of audio. They split into double the number of tracks, i.e. 8. Why might this be?

    Thanks so much.

    Christopher.

That’s great. I can’t even get a decent OMF export to work out of PPRO. I could be doing something wrong, but seems pretty simple.
