OMF export problem
I currently working in feature which shot on both RED and Panasonic p2 cards. I was at first responsible for the picture but have said that I could help with the sound as well.
We are now running a quick print to film test. This includes a short 6 minute timeline, the edl exoport works fine for the picture as well as exporting the sound for the reference file. My problem arrises when I do the OMF export for sound about 95% of the sound has exported with no problem at all, but certain parts do not. When I import the OMFI on seperate machine to test all the sound clips (which I consolidated on export) 95% work from the timeline after relinking apart from three which have an icon in the bin that according to the manual is a group. Why can I not consolidate and create an OMF for a group to send to the post house?
None of the material has been shot on more than 1 camera so no multi-camera was used, why would a group be created in syncing if this is the case. If the projects consists of many grouped sync shots is there anyway to reimport, relink and resync the shots whilst retaining ready made and edited sequqnces?
