Been having a problem lately with omf 2.0 export of audio to pro tools.
Seems certain audio files don’t make it across. It seems to be random as to what files disappear. We’ve been doing this for years successfully but lately certain files will not be there when the audio guys take it into Pro Tools (Digitranslator 2.0 on Pro Tools 6.7TDM on Mac).
Using Symphony 5.0 on PC W2K.
    Anyone encountered something like this?

    Thanks

Not sure about files not importing randomly, but check that you are digitizing all audio on the Symphony as OMF. If you digitize as wave files, you will not be able to export these to Protools via OMF.

We put this in the Site Settings so that you have to deliberately screw with the digitize settings to cause this problem.

Interestingly the file that didn’t make it across this time was an imported .wav file (music bed from production music CD). Actually this same file is in the timeline twice…it came across the first time it appeared on timeline but not the second.
However, in previous efforts, some files from digitized Digibeta didn’t make it across. We’ll watch it closely but it doesn’t seem to be related to the kind of audio file as far as we can tell so far.
