  • OMF Export – out of synch when importing to DAW

    Hello!

We are having this problem. When we export an OMF from Premiere and
import it to DAW, everything gets out of synch.

We have noticed that sound files used in the sequence have
    different sample rates (44100 24bit, 48000 16bit, 16000 16bit).
When Premiere exports an OMF, it recodes everything to 48000 16. I believe this might cause loss of synch. (On the other hand, when encoding all audio tracks with video in a video file, everything stays in synch even though it encodes everything in 48000 16 as well).

The sequence is 73 minutes long. 1080p 23,976.

    Any thoughts?

Karl from Adobe suggested on another forum to export OMF to Audition then export OMF from Audition for use in your DAW. Havent used process, just passing the info along.
