OMF export on MC 3.x
Greetings all!
I think I need some new education on how to export an OMF in the latest version of Media Composer – it seems they have wrapped all their exporting into one world so I am a little confused.
I am working on a project in DVCPro HD 1080i and loading in MXF file format. We need to output an audio only OMF for a Pro Tools mix session.
When I go to export, I assume I should be using either “Export for Protools” or “Consolidate and Embed” (something like that). When I go to export it defaults as an AAF format. What is the deal with all this?
Where is my old fav of export to OMF 1.0 or 2.0?
So confused…

Avid has been migrating to MXF and AAF for quite awhile now.
AAF is the preferred method for MXF media.
The most recent versions of ProTools work with AAF. Just go with AAF.
