OMF export for sound
Hey guys,
I’ve got a sequence in Premiere 2, it is a film that I’ve been working on for the last several months. Time to pass the OMF on to my sound designer, who works in Pro Tools. Although Premiere doesn’t export OMF, After Effects does; so I thought that I’d just open the editing sequence in After Effects, and export the whole thing as an OMF. However, when I select “OMF” as the export method, I can’t activate the audio output checkbox (it’s de-selected automatically), and it looks like it’s just the video that is being exported.
Am I doing something wrong? Could someone tell me what my alternatives are, short of trying to open Premiere’s EDL in Final Cut? (I don’t have the dough to buy an Avid system just to do a one-time sound conversion.) Is there a way to go through AE?
Thanks in advance!
Mike
