July 10, 2006 at 10:17 amMedia 100 HD. The 844/X OMF didn’t really ever work. The OMF for the HD version was built by a different company.

July 12, 2006 at 5:12 amHi Elliot,
We have OMF plug ins running on both our media 100i & media 100HD systems, and we have never had a problem with either of them.
We export all of our audio for post using the “export OMF for Pro Tools” setting, and our Audio engineer has always been able to work with them.
The OMF plug in we have for media 100HD is made by diaquest.

July 13, 2006 at 12:28 amHi John,
As far as i know our post audio engineer has always been able to adjust the handles on any clips that we have sent to him using either version of the OMF plug ins. I was under the impression, that the entire source media for an audio clip was exported so it could be adjusted if neccessary.
Cheers

July 13, 2006 at 7:11 pmThanks guys. Glad to here that is works. I don’t understand why it is a extra charge though. Other than it is made by a vendor of Media 100.

July 15, 2006 at 7:40 pmmy 2 cents…..
Was pleasantly surprised to hear that the OMF Exchange existed….. bought it immediately and has worked 6 out of 6 times so far…. the file size of the omf is determined by original size of the digitized sound source…. so we have redigitize (2 hour movies) with 3 second handles in the hirez process to then ftp to sound facilities.
Had to work on 8.2 with omf until this latest release… thank goodness.
Best,
Ron
