Are your test results “from OK to really bad” the files or how Premiere CC handles them? Basically, you should use the best file settings on the camera you can get out it and Premiere should be able to handle it with no problem.

Thank you Joe. The settings on the camera are fine. Highest possible quality, highest resolution, etc… As I do
with video cameras I lowered saturation, contrast and sharpness. The problem I have is that once the processed and post-processed sequence is ready to be exported, the results are not really as expected. I know I cannot compare to a video camera. I tried different settings when it comes to “export media” (vimeo various settings, plain vanilla 1080p, played with VBR 2 pass, depth, etc…) but the best I can obtain is not satisfying. Average quality. Maybe I am expecting too much from a basically photographic camera shooting video. I uploaded a file with the used settings giving me the “best” results I can obtain:

Try changing the Field Order to Progressive and turn off the Use Maximum Render Quality, it is not necessary unless you are doing graphics/animation, that will also speed up your render times a bit.

Did a test, and that will be my settings. It’s usable for talking hads to be posted online. Thank you for the advice and time.
