I am having render troubles every once in a while when I change an effect. The render of the old effect lingers and remains blue, but the new effect only renders at the beginning and end of the clip, then the playback is messed up. Has anyone had this problem?

We have found that if you trash all of your render files at the end of the day and then re-render the entire project, everything works fine. Since my project is such a large one, it is inconvenient to do so. Is there a quicker solution?

Welcome to the manner in how FCP handles renders!
I do what you said in your post: I delete all renders and re-render before I leave at the end of the day…
I edited on an Avid for years and you could “Select Media Relatives” for Renders. I don’t think FCP has an equivalent.

    hi, lindsay.

you could have a corrupt sequence.

copy the contents of that sequence into anew one,
and see if the problem persists.
