I work for a very small research company, they dont have a ton of money for multimedia upgrades, Im currently editing with PrPro CS2. I got some footage that came from a P2 in .MOV. I need to convert this footage into a usable format. Ive tried a few converters with very little success. The best results I have had is with “Any Video Converter” which gives me video playing at 2x and audio sounding fine. The original footage is in 60fps and can only convert up to 30fps, I am guessing thats what is causing the sync issues.

Any other suggestions other than upgrading the editing system? This is not a common occurrence, if this happened more often I would definitely stress the importance of an upgrade, but most of my work involves Illustrator and Photoshop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Christopher.

Just get a copy of Quicktime Pro, and convert to something else.

You could start with AVI uncompressed, but if that’s HD, you’ll need some very fast drives.

You could also try Motion Jpeg (for interlaced footage) or Photojpeg (Progressive)
