Long story short. Had to move, and sell computer. I have an entire movie edited in Premiere, 2017. After much searching. I was able to find an old version of Premiere 2017, v 11.0.0

I went to open up my movie file, and got a dialog box, which said it was saved in a newer version. Obviously I need to update the software.

I know it is 2017, but I don’t know which version. How can I determine what version my files are saved in, if I can’t open the file to check?

    thanks

Since you have a CC account, just update to that latest available version of 2017. Done!

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

Not really. Premiere has killed all versions leading up to 18, and they are no longer available on Creative Cloud…

    But thanks!

And Adobe should be shot because of it. It’s a form of thievery that somehow is allowed…
