old optical titles look
I need to create titles in the old optical style, similar to what would be seen in an Alfred Hitchcock opener.. Any tips?

I’ve specifically been asked to get a ‘Alfred Hitchcock’ look, like this:
seems a lot cleaner than I thought it would be..
center lit, a little wiggle, grain and blur..? is it that easy?

A lot of what sells it, besides what you mentioned, is the actual design itself. You have to be very careful to avoid modern fonts and type treatments.
But yeah, it’s pretty simple to get.
