  • Old film look filter for FCP

Does anybody know of a filter or plug in that gives you the classic “old film” look with the vertical streaks and hairs and dust and stuff. There used to be a filter in Adobe Premiere that had this but there is not one in FCP. Does anybody know of a good free or cheap plugin filter that can give me this basic effect? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

CGM LE does this. Google it.

But, there is a filter in Quicktime itself that does this. Export your clip, open it in QT, explore the filters…

http://www.nattress.com for Film Effects. Does all you need and more!! From an old film look through to modern film effects, from scratches and grain to bleach bypass, it does it all, including great 24p from your NTSC video, or 25p from your PAL video.

There is also digieffects , i think it is cinelook…. but i dont like the results, and the renders are long

if you want the color softness of film image, not the old look, magic bullet does a good job, but it works on aftereffects, not on fcp… wich is not a big problem, since you can export your final editing from FCP and then import it in AE
