OLD FILM : curved rectangle
Hi,
I want to implement some old film footage in a trailer that I’m editing in Premiere pro 1.5.
The footage was converted from flv to avi, so it’s small and in bad quality.I would like to create a sort of small screen on a black background. You know, like a feathered curved rectangle.
I tried everything but it doesn’t work. What do I do?
How to create tese curves, what key do I use,Thanks in advance

As soon as I write this, someone will prove me wrong.
Premiere’s titler lacks feather options. Photoshop or Photoshop Elements can create titles with much more style, including feathering and blending modes than Premiere.

Maybe easiest way is to make black and white mask in Photoshop and use it as Track Matte Key.
In Photoshop or Photoshop Elements use Rectangular Marquee Tool with 20 pixels feather in black background and and fill it with white color.
There you have nice feathered rectangle with round edges. -

It is a danish forum site with many useful tutorials, and it is Premiere Pro tutorial #14 you are looking for. Just click on the picture on the left side “Se guiden her” and it will start.
You have to register first, but it is very easy and quick. Then go to guides in your left hand side (not the above). Since it is a video tutorial, just pay attention to the video, and copy his actions. You do not need to understand danish, as he’s using the keywords in english, so you’ll understand! 😉
