We are using Canon XL-H1 as live cameras for streaming and IMAG in a church. They have performed well with stock lens in our room. We dont record on them so the tape drive isn’t used.

I would like to know if there is a better solution for power for them in an “installed” setup? Any ideas? We have the keep the foot, but the power supply seems to be a weak link.

Is there any way to extend control a long way over wire? Can iris and gain etc be controlled over wire(cat5?) from 100+ feet?

These cameras seem to work well for us in our application. We use SDI out and genlock in from a BlackMagic ATEm switch.

    Thanks for any input.
