OHCI port?
Posted by Matt Babinec on June 8, 2005 at 12:16 amhi, every time i open a project in avid xpress, or create a new project, i get a warning message that says
“the port “OHCI” is busy and cannot be used for deck control”what does this mean, and how can i fix this problem?

June 8, 2005 at 11:30 amThe FiWire connection is blocked or being used by another device…. is there something else on the same bus? Check the device manager if on XP.

Delete one of the decks. -

should i try installing it again in a diffrent PCI slot? -

i took the firewire card out and put it in a diffrent PCI slot, and i still get the same message in avid. how can i fix this problem, i have a rather important project coming up tomorrow.

June 18, 2009 at 11:50 amI also was experiencing this problem.
I resolved it by going to ‘deck configuration’ under ther settings tab and removing the duplicated firewire setting.
All now works fine 🙂
