    Hello,

I am using the Boris Lens Flare and Motion Tracking Units in FCP and Motion. I want to track a point in the background of my shot so I can mimic the camera shake. Unfortunately the camera pans past any one point. Is there a way I can continue the track by offsetting points like the way Apple Motion’s tracker does?

    Hi John,

The answer to your question is yes, you can keyframe the motion tracker target position so that it will track different pixel arrays over time to lock the lens flare into the scene. Then, once the motion tracker analysis is complete, you need to keyframe the offset x and y parameters in the motion tracker group at the same places where you keyframed the tracker target to make the movement appear to be uninterrupted.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
