Offline RT question
Here it is: If you capture in Offline RT NTSC mode on FCP 5, then transfer to a laptop with FCP 4, is there any way to edit and view without rendering all the scratch?

The media files are slightly different and are not directly backwardly compatible.
It would be easier to upgrade the FCP4 machine to FCP5, you are going to cause yourself all kinds of weird grief trying to maintain the incompatible versions of the project.
Or, if you cannot or will not spend the money, recapture all of your media directly to the FCP4 machine, do the work and bring the project back to the FCP5 machine.
