Offline Reference Clip looks MEDIA OFFLINE
Posted by Laura Fernandez on November 23, 2016 at 10:36 amHello everybody:
I imported an XML, and a reference clip. I imported the reference clip as a reference clip in to the media pool and i linked the timeline to the reference. And once i go to edit and i activate offline it shows Media Oflline, but the reference clip still in place and everything is okei….any suggestion?
thanks

November 23, 2016 at 7:08 pmI just had an issue with this recently. Check the start timecode of your offline reference clip against the start timecode of your timeline. My offline ref started at 00 hours, and the timeline was at 01, causing it to not line up correctly. You can alter the offline’s timecode by moving the playhead in the viewer to frame 1, then going to clip properties by right clicking on the offline ref clip and choosing the timecode tab.
I hope this helps, it took having it happen twice this year for me to actually learn. -

August 20, 2018 at 1:29 pmOccasionally I’ve noticed a few oddities like this. I would suggest you could try deleting the render cache. Sometimes, I’ve updated clips externally (such as in After Effects), and they don’t appear to update, even if the clip is removed and re-added, but closing Resolve and re-opening does then seem to bring the clip in as expected, so I suspect there could be a few levels of cache involved.
