Offline Post-Synched audio mysterious shifted to TC Rate 30 in a DVCPRO HD 720p 25fps base project
I’m having a strange issue.
I have been cutting a P2 card DVCPRO HD 720p 25fps based feature that I initially injested back in August on location in Sicily. The Project file has been fallow for a few months —
INSERT DIGRESSION
There is a whole secondary story where I set things up to edit in Premiere CS3 on a PC to have better access to After Effects — that has gone out the window due to bugginess and lack of OMF export for post audio guys.
BACK TO THE STORY.
— and I’ve just noticed today that reconnecting the audio wav files has lead to reports of unexpected file lengths etc. And indeed these files a small bit out of sync now. Well, I’ve just noticed that they are listed as TC Rate 30 based files, and I can’t seem to get FCP 6.0.3 to reconnect them as TC Rate 25 files. Importing them anew works just fine for TC Rate 25…but I kinda wanted to keep a few of these audio files actually connected to the timeline!
Is there a trick for this I don’t know? Or is it time to bring in the 200 wav files again and this time use AUX TC and merging tricks to create a more lasting association between audio and video tracks.
Thanks!
mattps Audio wavs don’t have TC information attached, not Broadcast wave or similar, and with TC track not activated.
