  Offline-Online workflow – AS72 generates same naming schemes each shoot, how to avoid problems for relinking to online?

  Hello everyone,

  I’ve been assistant-editing on a doc shoot where they use FS7 as A Cam and AS72 as B cam.

  FS7 can customize the naming scheme, so each clip generates its own unique identifiable name,
  so it can help with relinking later on from offline to online.

  AS72 however, generates same clip names for instance from c0001- c0020, and it will repeat
  from c0001 next shoot. it doesn’t have an option to customize the naming scheme.

  * would this create a problem in relinking from offline proxies to raw media?
  * what measures can I take to avoid the problem?
  (change the raw names? or attach different reel names?)

  – I use Davinchi Resolve for transcoding the raw files to proxies.
