  • Offline clips still show up when sequence is played??

    Hi all,

I’m revisiting an old project in which several media files are apparently missing. The clips are labeled “offline” in the timeline and I can’t locate their media files anywhere on my computer, and yet when I play the sequence the so-called missing clips still show up as if there was no problem. Does anyone know what’s going on? Thanks!

It could be that these clips were rendered and it is playing the render even though the master clip is offline. Drag the “offline” clip to the browser and if it is still off line in the browser,if so, then I would go to your “rendered” files and trash them. I assume that you didn’t want them to play anymore. Hope this helps-

I bet it’s just the thumbnails in the Timeline showing them offline, no? For that you just dump the still cache files. Check the FCP docs folder.
