By now everyone knows FCP X is missing A LOT of the features that previous versions had. I want this thread to be a place where we can help rectify this situation by providing the development team with constructive and objective feedback.

Since many of us have paid to be beta testers, we owe it to ourselves and the devs to provide them with our professional feedback. Please submit what features you’d like and if you can, some more info as to why and how they should be implemented.

If you’re like me, you’ve had a chance to dig around in the program and see what features are missing. Overall, I think FCP X has a lot of potential.

You can also submit your feedback/requests here https://www.apple.com/feedback/finalcutpro.html (hopefully they’ll update this form soon to include FCP X in the version menu)

    My request:

The ability to adjust keyframe interpolation. When using the “Ken Burns” and cropping effects, only “ease in – ease out” keyframes can be added. This makes the pan/crop effect stop at the end of the clip, i.e. there is no option for linear or other types of keyframes.

Implementation: perhaps by right clicking on a keyframe there could be a context menu choice for choosing a different type of interpolation.

Did you try control-clicking on the keyframe? Randy Ubillos demoed switching from easing to linear.

    All the best,

    Tom
