[OFF] What MP Hard Drive Config?

Okay, I was thinking that I would not RAID the drives inside the MP… It seems that most people (video professionals) do not. And, when they need something fast they go with external RAIDS… If I RAID the drives internally (4), I will have no room for a startup drive… Now, I’m wondering how best to utilize the MP internal capacity. I guess I will use single drives (NO RAID) and will simply enjoy the capacity using at least one drive for backup of some data…

BTW: I was thinking about going with the Hitachi 500gb drives since G-Technology and Promax are using them exclusively. The numbers I’ve gathered seem to favor other mechanisms in terms of performance… yet, I respect their decisions and don’t feel compelled to duplicate their research.
