yeah I know this is WAY off topic!

What is a good way to remove labels from VHS tapes? They all peel apart and wil not cleanly come off (guess they were REALLY good labels!)

    ideas?

There are products such as Goo-Gone that are specially made to get adhesive labels off.

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the label before you try to peel it off….then they will peel right off and not leave anything behind.

….forgot to mention don’t use the heat for too long or too close to the tape or it will melt the plastic shell of the tape.

Using heat at all is asking for trouble because it can cause sections of the tape to deform.

We’ve been doing it for over 30 years and have never had a problem. As long as you know what you’re doing its fine.
