Off Topic — Data Recovery Software?
Sorry this is Off Topic . . .
My computer died on me, so I pulled the one drive that I needed info from and mounted it into my new computer (in a removable enclosure) . . .
Long story short, somehow I got the new computer to think the drive is empty. Originally it wouldn’t recognize the drive, then I messed with some controls (dummy me) and voila, empty (supposedly) drive. It reads the drive as WD (or whatever it is) 93 gig drive — just completely empty and in fact it can’t access it. When I am in Explorer and click on that drive I get an error beep.
I didn’t hear it formatting or anything — it was instant which leads me to believe that the data is all (or mostly) still there.
Does anyone have any recommendation for data recovery software?
