don’t know where to post this question, but my new edit office is being worked on and long story short someone hit my 23 inch monitor with a piece of wood. The outside screen is not shattered, but the screen looks like a broken piece of glass. I can still move the mouse and was able to shut down the computer.

My question is does anyone think it’s possible to fix this monitor? Any ideas of who to talk to? I’m in Indianapolis. Thanks.

Nope…the LCD is broken, but not the outer safety glass. They’d have to replace the LCD, but in that case you might as well get another monitor.

    SORRY MAN!

    Yikes.

If you bought it with your American Express card you might be covered…

Make the person with the piece of wood who broke the monitor replace it with a new one.

Seriously, if it’s a contrusction company or the building’s maintenace crew, they should have insurance to cover damage by their workers.

If they recommended that you remove and store anything expensive and/or breakable and you chose not to, then you’re probably SOL, but otherwise, they should have a policy that covers the damage.
