    Hi
I’m trying to off-set some text along a curved line. What I have is one curved line along which some text flows, off-set this either side of the curved line are additional lines and I’m using ‘baseline shift’ except that the spacing of the text alters, expands when it’s around the larger curve, and contracts around tighter curve, see enclosed image. Try to get the spacing the same throughout. Any ideas?

The single curve line is the shape for the background shape as well as the text form.

    Thanks if you can help
    Ian

you’ll need to make paths that follow the top and bottom edges of the black line, then put your text on those paths.

Thanks Dave and Kevin, had thought this, but was hoping for some magic in AE, creating these precise curved masks freehand will be tricky, (for me anyway) I think I’ll try and replicate the shapes in Illustrator-stroke-outline paths-copy and past paths in AE, let you know how I get on.
    Thanks Ian
