ok so i’ve come across a fair amount of sync issues in fcp before today; but this one takes the cake!

    timeline: 960×720 dvcpro hd 29.97df dvcpro720p60
    dat file: 48/24

syncing them up clap is on point but drifts out of sync across the length of the clip. Towards the end 2 people give a high five making another clapping sound like the slate; the clap happens visually where it should in the waveform; but at this point the phsyical sound is almost a second late.

So far i’ve tried rebooting; restarting fcp, trashing all user preferences, trashing waveforms, and re-running an easy setup. Right now i’m running a repair permissions scan of the bootdisk.

Any thoughts? Any help at all would be vastly appreciated.

Sounds like a fairly common pulldown problem. Is your source footage from a film telecine session?

Or it could be that FCP is trying to incorrectly ADD pulldown to the audio. Do you see a colored bar on the audio clip?
