    Hi all,

AE CS5 behaving very oddly with a simple z-space manoeuvre of a line of text.

Basically, I want the text to fly in from the horizon towards camera and then slow right down so it’s just creeping forwards slightly over the course of a few seconds. Simple right?

So, text is pushed back in z-space to 10,000, keyframed, then flies towards camera over 8 frames to 0, keyframed, and then creeps forward to -100 over the course of 2 seconds.

But for some reason, the move between 0 and -100 goes crazy – the z-position goes up to -700 then bounces back to the keyframe position at -100.

There are no other keyframes anywhere in the timeline, no scaling change, nothing. No reason at all why it shouldn’t just do a slow, smooth creep from 0 to -100.

I tested it switching off the first part of the move from 10,000-0 so it was just moving 0 to -100 and it works fine. It’s just that initial fly in is doing something very odd to the rest of the move.

Maybe something to do with keyframe interpolation?

    Cheers!
