  • Odd grey static pattern over Sony F3 image…

We are shooting a test with a Sony F3, thought this might be a generalized issue with sensor cameras and would ask about it on this forum.

We see a dirty grey overlay on all the shots in a non-specific pattern, especially in the mid to highlight range. Pattern doesn’t move, it’s very noticeable when panning.

A black shading was done on the camera, we didn’t notice an appreciable difference. Then we tried another F3, and we seem to see the exact same thing.

We’ve looked at this in different edit suites, on multiple monitors, we see it on the outboard reference screens and on the computer desktop displays.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance. (and sorry for the reduser crosspost)

Was the same lens used on both F3’s, that could be the issue

Sorry I didn’t explain that we tried different lenses too. The odd pattern image seems to be in focus, it has detail, so it doesn’t appear like typical dust on sensor artifacts.

Was it in the same place on both cameras?
Can you post a still frame of each?
