Odd behaviour in XP 64
Hi all. I’ve tried this in preview of CS3 and then canned that and gone back to my 2.0 version… same result.
Recently reinstalled os to XP 64 bit version. Have captured video no problem. Have created many subclips with no problem and most of these seem fine when dragged to premiere timeline. However…
One subclip is 10 minutes or so. when I drag it to timeline to chop up and resequence, an odd thing happens. The clip doesn’t appear in the timeline… but it IS there! If I scrub the slider in the preview window, it plays audio but no video! Curious. More curious is that if I go to the edge of the clip and drag it to trim the clip, the video and audio plays perfectly!
I’ve since experimented with several clips included original captured clip. Same problem. If I drag the clip to the timeline, it doesn’t show. If I minimize then maximize the window, the video shows up in the timeline! It’s really odd and very frustrating. Is this a known XP 64 problem?
I have a trial of vegas installed and that is absolutely fine. Seems odd that a cheapo bit of software is fine when my expensive premiere software is not able to do the job.
Any hints/links/pointers would be most gratefully received!
