    Hi
When importing video via capture in PPro1.5, all is well until I play back the timeline and I hear the occasional “pops” that are not in evidence on the original DV tapes. I’ve tried inputting the audio at 32 and at 48, drop or non drop frame….I have no idea why these pops are occuring. Anyone have any idea as to what I should be on the look for?

Are you using a Matrox RTX card?

    Hi
No I’m not using any hardware accelerators. Could it be an issue with the Creative card? I tried importing the video via Avid Free DV and I get the same pops and mild sound distortion. The drive that the audio is going to is a NTFS formatted one…..

That’s possible Jeremy. I was also using a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 card when I had the louds ‘pops’ Since disabling the Matrox card the problem went away but it was linked through the Sound Blaster card.

Got the latest drivers installed? Is there a firewire port on your sound card? Could you try a different port?
