  Odd audio feedback problem

  Equip: Dual AMD 2600+, 3GB RAM, 2x200GB RAID 0 for data, Audigy2 Platinum audio card (with firewire ports), Win XP (all upgrades), PPro 1.5.1.

  Problem: Capturing in PPro proceeds for a few minutes then suddenly a high pitch tone appears which doesn’t otherwise seem to affect the capture. However, when the clips are placed on the Timeline, there’s no audio even tho’ waveform is plainly visible on Timeline. Only way to recovery audio is a reboot; merely exiting PPro and re-opening program doesn’t do it.

  Has anyone ran into this problem? Same problem with 1.5 so it doesn’t seem related to the upgrade.
