October Emitter Libraries released
Surprise! The October emitter libraries have been released, and it’s still October! Tom Granberg has done some nice work again this month on a library with an “ornate” theme. There are a lot of “plant” themes in them, but they could also be used with general-purpose motion graphics work — see the “OK Corral” emitter for example. Most of these look better on white I think, and they should be moved around appropriately.
Even though there are a lot of greens in there, changing some colors can make them appropriate for autumn too — although our southern hemisphere friends will appreciate the “spring” emitters, right?
Some of these emitters gave me some ideas for tutorials, so I need to find time to work on those.

I’m not sure how I’ll use these plant-themed emitters due to my particular more “ethereal” visual style, but I’ll come up with something to tweak and weave them in for they are… great: graceful, elegant, cool – IMO.
As commented before, them thar emitters just keep getting better and better.

P.S.: Maybe at some point there can be a complementary “sequel” to this — similar motion and feel of flowers that one can essential tuck in with the leafy ones. There is a start or hint in this direction in a couple of these emitters, but I’m visualizing a more blooming, center-out feel just like the green/leaves, etc.
Flowers with 5 or more symmetrical petals like morning glories, impatiens, pansies and such and/or other colorful varieties that span the full color spectrum.
Combined together, such green + flowers virtual bouquets could make great Valentine’s Day and similar e-card stuff (says the guy who is more or less a monk :o)

I downloaded the October SE emitters but when I unzipped the file and installed it, it doesn’t show up in PI. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, it was a problem with the USB drive. Used a different one and all is well.
