Hello all, I am knee-deep into a very large project in Premier Pro. Lots of timelines, months of work. I just had to upgrade my old 2018 MacBook Pro to the M1 Pro because the speed just wasn’t handling the demands I was throwing at it on the project. Long story short, I spent several days colour grading almost 20 timelines on the old computer, but did so with old plugins (“Fast Colour Corrector” and “Brightness & Contrast” to name a couple), not being aware that they were now obsolete. On my new Mac the plugins don’t exist, meaning I cannot render or export any of these timelines, which is a real problem.

I wonder, does anyone know whether there is a way to find/download obsolete plugins like “Fast Color Corrector” and “Brightness & Contrast” to install them on new versions of Premiere? Or perhaps a different workaround?

    Thanks in advance.

you used to be able to literally copy the .aex files over to the other computer’s plugin folder. sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. do you know what version of the project you save it as? you may be able to go back, but the real question is, how do you want to move forward? those color adjustments would only exist with those plugins or even worse, that version of premiere, so you may need to burn in the color as a digital intermediate and re-edit.

Thanks for the reply, Chris. The version of Premiere I was on was very recent, if not completely current. My guess is that I had these plugins installed on my old computer, deep in the folder structure somewhere and that allowed me to use them. I guess the migration to the new system cleaned house, along with the plugins. Moving forward, I will definitely be grading everything in Lumetri when using Premiere, but my issue is the current project, which I’m deep into at this point and don’t have the several days time that would ben needed to re-colour grade everything.

Anyway, hopefully a workaround will present itself.

Thanks for the link. I haven’t tried installing a previous version, because I assumed it wouldn’t include the ancient plugins, but you never know, right? I’ll give it a try. Appreciate it.
