Objects in Particle World
Hi there,
I’m just planning a project, which has 3D text objects floating in a 3D particle field.
I was thinking of using Particle World for speed and ease of rendering, until I realised it’s probably not possible to sit my AE 3D objects amongst the particles, with some particles passing in front of it and some behind, as you’d expect.
So I’m asking myself, do I (a) use some custom expressions on hundreds or thousands of layers to create a custom particle field or do I (b) try and do something clever with Particle World…. maybe using the fade property to create some kind of depth matte?
(a) seems very render / layer heavy and I’ve a nasty feeling that (b) might get pretty code heavy (although it might be a great reusable thing).
Any suggestions?
