i have been looing for a way to morph these two together so that i may apply the effect ball action the the animation. I have one object and three letters…i would like the object to become small particles, disperse, and then reform as the text. anyone have any ideas…

I think you can create a timeline which dispurses your object into swerling particles and then have your text go from swerling particles to your text and at the intersection between OBJ->SwerlingPs and SwerlingPs->Text creat a fade from obj-swerlingps to text swerlingps. Assuming you know how to get swerling particles in the first place with ball-action.
