April 4, 2013 at 9:18 pmI spoke to nvidia today about this new k5000 vs quadro 4000….I am using CS6 with After Effects, Photoshop, some Premiere, but I am a FCP X user and recently acquired Davinci Resolve. I run a dual 8 core Mac Pro 2.26 with 16gb of ram with a ATI 4870, I desperately want to know real world results of this card with FCP X and Resolve…I know it will do wonders already with the Mercury playback engine for CS6…please let us know of any improvement especially with Final Cut Pro X, I feel like my projects drag when I have programs and plugins like Neat Video’s Reduce Noise that need Open CL support.
Mac Pro 8-core 2.26 Nahlem, 16GB of RAM, ATI 4870HD, 4TB & 4TB RAID 0
17″ MacBook Pro 2.2ghz quad core i7 8gb of ram 500gb 7200rpm HD 1gb video card
