This sounds very exciting, however I have no idea what it means. My suspicion though is that it will make Davinci better. Can anyone on the dev team comment on this?

If Maximus can give out cuda suport and Resolve could use it then we get the bang.

What it says to me is that if apple does not revamp mac pro fast and soon it will die on pro market.
Do not get mi wrong i will keep my imac as i love it for web 🙂

Geting boxx for my davinci and 3d jobs seems the way if pros will not get up to date on tech side.
It is like sgi on pc.

“If” it is useful, “and” it is Mac-compatible, or the Windows version is really the wave of the future (again), with the failure of Apple to move forward in its ProApp division.

I hate to say it but I think the Mac-Pro (and just about anything “pro” is dead at apple unless it runs on a phone or pad) is going to vanish.

I guess my only question about Resolve on Wintel is if it will read Pro-Res? I assume yes and that you could have a shared database on a Mac machine and use a second machine to write Pro-Res.

You’ll be on Media Composer 6 anyway, though… right?
