    Hello,

I am running a MacPro Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz with 32GB RAM and a ATI Radeon HD 5870. I have problems with slow playback, strobing and picture freezing (Final Cut works better). I just bought a GTX285, it rendered some stuff quickly, but overall, has the same problems with strobing and picture freezing + and this should have come first; it was crashing my computer, turning the screen a color and freezing the sound.

Anyway, is there a graphics card out there that will play HD OK? I will accept quarter resolution. I need to edit!

    Thanks

You can change the Program and Source side to playback 1/4 resolution by just clicking the output soft key in the transport windows (looks like 3 intersecting circles). Also check in your Sequence Settings and under Video Previews, you are using appropriate settings.

    Thanks,
